The Bouquet from the Wild

Is the bouquet cheap
Because it is not from the flower shop?
With what you would measure

The effort, the love and other emotions?
That ran in her mind as she gathered
The flowers from the forest one by one
Dreading the wild and the thorns.
Yet cheap it looks
In the times
When money measures everything.

Is the dinner cheap
Because it is not from the five star hotel?
With what would you measure
The effort, love and other emotions?
That was involved in preparation
Dreading the smoke and the heat.

Yet cheap it looks
In the times

When money measures everything.

Is the sweater cheap
Because it is not branded?
With what would you measure
The effort involved to knit?
Passing every single strand of thread
Through her fingers
Yet cheap I looks
In the times
When money measures everything

For once let’s change the unit of measurement
And check the physical and psychological effort
That may be involved to present the best
Away from the malls and stores
Apart from star rated and branded stuffs
Brain washed by the bombardment of advertisement

For once let’s forget the worth of the price tag
And value the abstract feelings
That comes attached with the bouquet
Made from the flowers from the wild
Or form the garden – nurtured, watered and cared
With you in mind
With you in mind.
